Message: “The Power of Identity” from John Nixon
office@npbc.us
A message from the series “Identity: A Series in Romans 8.” In Romans 8, God’s word assures those of us who believe in Jesus Christ that there is now no condemnation. In today’s message, Pastor John explores the analogies used in the first four verses of this chapter: once slaves to sin, we are now free. Once indebted and stained by sin, the sacrifice has been made on our behalf. Once condemned by sin, all charges against us have been cleared, and God sees us with the righteousness of Christ. This is our identity in Jesus.

A message from the series “Greater Than: A Series in Colossians.” As we conclude our sermon series in the book of Colossians, Pastor Phil examines Paul’s final instructions to the church. Paul’s prayer request, even in the midst of prison, was that he would have the opportunity and the boldness to preach the gospel. Paul’s example encourages us to submit our own lives to God’s sovereign will, and God’s word instructs us to be devoted to prayer.

Message: “How to Get Along with Each Other in the Church” from John Nixon
office@npbc.us
A message from the series “Greater Than: A Series in Colossians.” It can be easy to forget how unexpected it was in the times of the early church when God called together people from all walks of life to join together as one. Yet that remains the reality of the church today–in Christ, we are one body, though we come together with many backgrounds, nationalities, experiences and trials. So then, how do we get along with one another in unity? In today’s message, Pastor John studies Colossians 3, where God’s word instructs us how to be unified in fellowship with one another by taking off those things which will cause division, and putting on those virtues which accord with love and with peace.

When we celebrate Christmas and remember God’s gift in the birth of His Son, Jesus Christ, we are remembering the salvation offered by Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. In today’s message, Pastor Phil reminds us of that cost, and the reason we celebrate the birth of Christ at Christmas.

One day when Jesus returns, He will return as King, and every knee will bow before Him. Isaiah prophesied that Jesus would be called “Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6, NIV) We can have peace with God if we surrender our lives to Jesus Christ now. Have you surrendered your life to Christ?
Message: “The Final Invitation” from John Nixon
office@npbc.us

Message: “The Importance of Invitation” from Phil Severn
office@npbc.us
A message from the series “Come and See.” Matthew 25:31-46 records Jesus’ parable of the sheep and the goats. The sheep are those who, through their faith in Christ, have shown compassion towards Christ’s brothers and sisters–those of the church. Their reward is an inheritance from the Lord. The goats are those who, through their unbelief in Christ, have not shown compassion to Christ’s brothers and sisters. Their punishment is hell. In today’s message, Pastor Phil reminds us that love warns of danger. We need to love others by sharing with them the truth of the wages of sin, and the good news that salvation is found in Jesus Christ.
