In John 13, we read about Jesus, having all authority, choosing to serve His disciples. And in Philippians 2, we read about Jesus humbling Himself in obedience to the Father to the point of death on the cross. Finally, in Luke 10, we read the example of the Good Samaritan, who is presented with an opportunity for service, and chooses to act, even at the cost of time and money. In order to serve others, and share the gospel through our service, we should seek to draw closer to the character and the attitude of God, and to use the opportunities God gives us for service.
