Doug is director of the Baptist Bible Seminary and teaches three courses per semester. We have a morning program (a Bachelor’s program) with thirty-two students, evening programs in local churches around Santiago with about 120 students in total. We have a pastor’s program that meets once a month for a four-day module, twenty-five to thirty hours each module. Pastors come from other parts of Chile. We are involved in a new church plant. Doug is serving as Pastor/Counselor and we have three young couples with whom we are ministering. Also, Doug is the field team leader for Chile, overseeing the whole Chile field team. Sharon is Financial Treasurer for the field, supervising the training of a Chilean accountant. She is also the librarian for our MK School and apartment manager for our short-term teacher housing.

Who is on your team?
Our seminary works locally with thirty to thirty-five Chilean pastors that form part of our Fellowship of Churches. We work together with them to lead our annual Bible Conference, on camp, on various conferences (women, youth, men) that are offered to our Chilean churches during the year. At the seminary there are five men (two missionaries, three nationals) working together on the administration, and there are five other national teachers that come in to teach one class. We have a missionary team with seven families and four singles, most here in Santiago, some twenty-four hours north of Santiago.

Where have you seen God working in your ministry? In the seminary, God blessed us with eighteen new students this year which is a tremendous answer to prayer. We have two new Satellite Institutes going this year. One of them that started with forty people. It is a huge blessing to see people studying the Word of God each week. Our church attendance is up and we see visitors each week. There have been some exciting answers to prayer in our youth ministry. We have some new unsaved young people attending for whom we are praying.
