We recognize that the Gospel is not just good news for those that don’t know Jesus, but it is good news for each of us that we need to rely on every day. (Colossians 3:1-4; Titus 2:11-14)
We recognize our sinfulness and need for daily forgiveness from our Savior and will look to him for forgiveness, grace, restoration, and guidance. (1 John 1:8-9)
We will be known by the markers that Jesus gives to his followers: our love (John 13:35) and our unity (John 17:23)
We will seek to live lives of humility, service, and love modeled after our Savior who embodied these characteristics perfectly (Philippians 2:1-11)
We will seek to be quick to forgive, show grace, give each other the benefit of the doubt, and pursue reconciliation when we are offended or hurt. (James 1:19; Ephesians 4:31-32; 1 Corinthians 13:1-7)
We will pursue unity as a church, valuing the needs of the community above our own preferences. (Romans 15:19; Romans 12:10)
We will be purposeful in our unity; being unified around God’s Word and his mission (John 17:23; Romans 14:19)
